I have been a practising therapist in Chichester and Bognor Regis and Arundel for the past 25 years, originally training in body therapies. Soon afterwards through wanting to increase and deepen my therapeutic skills and understanding I took my therapy training to the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have gained a wealth of experience in the Counselling/Psychotherapy field over the past 17 years, working in a number of settings including a large Counselling organisation, Schools and Therapy centres alongside running a private practice. I am deeply passionate about using natural and creative ways to assist healing and growth and have a wide variety of skills and experience to bring to each individual.
I have over 30 years of meditation and yoga experience and thus are habitually immersed and grounded in Mindful awareness. I have as far as I can recall always had an urge to know who I really am, which has been a driving energy for spiritual seeking which has allowed me to have followed many interesting, inspiring and wise meditation and yoga teachers over the years, including Buddhist monks and students of BKS Iyengar. connection to the land and spirit. My spiritual seeking has brought me in more recent times to immersing myself in retreats in the field of 'non-duality' which is a recognition and understanding of the connectedness of all life and the 'non-dual' nature of the true Self, an ancient yet timeless teaching originally from India. I also fully know my connection to nature and the well being that comes from this, I often hold space for groups and incorporate into my one to one work an honouring of the Celtic wheel of the year, helping others to understand their connection to the seasons and the natural cycles. I would describe my approach to therapy as Humanistic and 'Transpersonal' which means alongside honouring the individual's personal self, I also see beyond this aspect of self and acknowledge the natural connection that we are, and have to others, and to nature and spirit. Knowing this as my true and deeper Self, I naturally keep psychologically well and happy and have a gift to guide others to get to know this within themselves too.
In my therapeutic work I specialise in treating Stress, Anxiety, Menopausal issues and Depression and their related conditions.
